Although our family has been farming in India for many generations, our Okanagan farming journey began over 30 years ago. When our family first arrived in Canada, we decided to stick to what we knew best: farming. We began growing and selling fruit in our hometown of Oliver, BC.
After years of learning and mastering our craft, as well as gaining experience selling to locals in the Oliver and Saskatchewan markets, we decided to branch out to the greater Edmonton area as Fresh Acre Farms. Our market has seen tremendous support and continues to grow thanks to our amazing customer base! We plan on further expanding throughout Western Canada and providing more communities with BC’s freshest fruit for many more years to come.

What sets us apart?
Our entire operation from seed to table is ran by a small family team. Our delicious fruits are planted and grown in the Okanagan Valley by a small family-oriented crew. Our Oliver team handles planting, pruning, picking, quality control, organization, and cold storage. When ready, our produce is loaded into our semi-truck in Oliver and sent straight on the road on a 12-hour drive to Edmonton for market delivery and sales. This small, detail-oriented family operation ensures consistency, quality, and freshness that the larger corporate fruit farms simply cannot deliver.

Fresh Acre harvests and sells fruit throughout the entire summer months, but we would consider early to mid-August to be our “peak season”. More fruits are considered “in-season” at this time of year, which is due to factors such as temperature and soil condition.
Eating produce that’s in-season guarantees peak freshness and flavor, as well as higher nutritional value. We only sell our fruits in-season to maintain quality control and freshness. Click here to see when each fruit is in-season.

We have approximately 23 acres of farmland to grow our delicious fruit. Our main varieties are grown on roughly 18 acres in beautiful Oliver, BC, with an additional 5 acres in Lake Country, BC for our late-season varieties.
